Vivo, a manufacturer of smartphones, concurrently unveiled its two new foldable models, the X Fold 2 and X Flip. There are two storage choices and three colour options available for each of these phones. With an 8.03 inch E6 AMOLED LTPO inner display, the Vivo X Fold 2 has a 120 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the display supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU is offered in X Flip, whereas Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor is offered in Fold 2. The domestic market has currently received both smartphones. Shadow Black, Red, and Blue are the available colour choices for the Vivo X Fold 2. There are two storage choices for the phone. The cost of the phone with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is 8,999 Chinese Yuan (about $ 1306.46), while the cost with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is 9,999 Chinese Yuan (roughly $ 1451.63).
The cost of the Vivo X Flip is CNY 5,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option and CNY 6,699 for the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variation. Diamond Black, Purple, and Silk Gold are the available colour choices for X Flip.
The Vivo X Fold 2 has an internal 8.03 inch E6 AMOLED LTPO display. The screen has a resolution of 2,160 x 1,916 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a maximum brightness of 1,800 nits. Additionally, the display supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. On the other hand, the phone’s exterior has a 6.53-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,520 x 1,080 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a maximum brightness of 1,600 nits. SCHOTT UTG Glass Cover is included with this exterior display.
The phone comes with OriginOS 3 and Android 13 installed. With a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU, up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 512GB of internal storage, the Vivo X Fold 2 was unveiled.
A triple rear camera unit is offered in the new Vivo fold camera arrangement. The main camera of the phone is a 50-megapixel Sony IMCX866, and Zeiss T lens coating with OIS is included. A third 12-megapixel telephoto lens and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens are added to the secondary camera. For selfies, the phone boasts a 16-megapixel front camera. The camera also supports its own image chip V2.
A 4,800mAh battery within the Vivo X Fold 2 supports 120W fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and reverse charging. Both the internal and external display panels include a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader for security. The phone has dual 4G VoLTE, 5G SA/NSA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.3 LE, GPS, and NFC connection.
The phone’s 6.74-inch FullHD Plus AMOLED display features a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a resolution of (2,520 x 1,080 pixels). A 3-inch AMOLED screen serves as the phone’s secondary display. This has a resolution of 682 x 422 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 hertz. The phone has a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU and LPDDR5 RAM that supports up to 12 GB. Up to 512GB of UFS3.1 storage may be found in the phone. The phone runs OriginOS 3, which is based on Android 13.
